The session, part of the Vithas Aula Salud project, will take place at 5:30 PM in the hospital's auditorium. The event aims to answer common questions and provide tools to improve women's quality of life during this vital stage.
Specialists from various medical fields at Vithas Almería Hospital will participate. A gynecologist specializing in menopause will discuss symptoms and debunk common myths. A cardiologist will explain the impact on cardiovascular risk, while a rheumatologist will offer guidelines for preventing and treating postmenopausal osteoporosis.
“"Menopause should be understood as a natural transition in a woman's life. However, hormonal changes can cause symptoms and increase certain health risks, making it essential to support patients with rigorous information, prevention, and a personalized approach."
Additionally, an orthopedist will present on the importance of staying active and healthy during this stage, under the title '50 is the New 30'. A nutritionist will provide an update on healthy habits and nutrition from the age of 50, emphasizing food as a key tool for physical and emotional well-being.
The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session, allowing attendees to interact directly with healthcare professionals. Interested individuals can register via email at 'comunicacion.almeria@vithas.es'.
