Author Antonio Zapata presented the re-edition of his book Guía de recetas almerienses para niños at Espacio Sabores Almería, as part of the 46th Almería Book Fair, offering a didactic journey through provincial gastronomy.
The initiative, organized in collaboration with the Instituto de Estudios Almerienses (IEA), took place at the Sabores Almería store and included a practical demonstration of one of the recipes. This publication proposes a journey through the traditional cuisine of the province of Almería, adapting well-known dishes for a child audience with an accessible and educational approach.
During the event, Carlos Sánchez, deputy for Presidency and Provincial Promotion, and the author himself, Antonio Zapata, welcomed the young participants. These “little chefs” not only enjoyed the demonstration but also received a free copy of the book for their attendance. Mario Pulido, director of the IEA, was also present at the presentation.

"This publication is an updated re-edition of a book that was already part of Sabores Almería, created together with its author, Antonio Zapata. The work offers a journey through the province via its typical dishes, through a practical, illustrated guide aimed at children, with characters that accompany this gastronomic itinerary."
Deputy Sánchez detailed that this re-edition has a print run of 800 copies and its presentation was strategically scheduled to coincide with the Book Fair. For his part, Antonio Zapata explained that the collection of recipes represents various corners of the province, including preparations linked to different municipalities and regions.

"It is a collection of recipes that represent different corners of the province, with the presence of dishes and preparations linked to different municipalities and regions. It includes well-known recipes that have been adapted and explained in a simpler way, with the aim of facilitating their understanding for those who have not cooked before."
The author highlighted that the book's content incorporates varied proposals, such as an “Almerian pizza,” and is designed to be easily understandable, even for those without prior cooking experience. The Almería Book Fair, in its forty-sixth edition, has seen an increase in visitors, especially in the evening on Federico García Lorca Avenue.
