The initiative, organized by the Municipal Sports Board, aims to foster physical activity, coexistence, and healthy lifestyle habits among minors. The Councilor for Active City, Urban Mobility, and Sport, Antonio Jesús Casimiro, visited the facilities to observe the activities and highlight the atmosphere of unity among children from different city schools.
The program's main objective is to provide minors with active leisure alternatives that steer them away from excessive screen time, promoting spaces for play, coexistence, and learning in a safe environment. In addition to sports practice, it includes content on emotional education, teamwork, and environmental awareness for comprehensive development.
The day featured a highly anticipated water party, where participants enjoyed games and sports dynamics adapted to various age groups. These special activities aim to boost the minors' motivation and encourage interaction among them.
During the visit, a raffle was held for sports-related prizes, including balls, football match tickets, and t-shirts, which generated great excitement. Antonio Casimiro emphasized the program's positive reception and the importance of these spaces for physical activity and shared play among children from diverse schools.
The councilor thanked the technical team, monitors, and the collaboration of the entity AFIM21, which enriches the offer of active, inclusive, and educational leisure. Approximately 50 children participate daily in 'Active Holidays,' which will run until Friday, August 14th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
