The mayor of Almería, María del Mar Vázquez, participated in the recording of the podcast 'Lo que diga la Jefa' during the event. In her address, she highlighted the talent and humility of Almerians in various fields such as design, technology, culture, and innovation, both in business and agriculture.
“"In Almería, there are many people who excel in the world of design, technology, culture, innovation, at a business and agricultural level, and in many other sectors. Almería is a land of talent, with people who are discreet and share that talent with humility."
The show, attended by councilwomen Amalia Martín and Paola Laynez, offered tools for managing mental well-being. It featured central conferences by experts such as Antonio Valenzuela, a psychoneuroimmunologist and writer, and Lorena Gascón, a psychologist and popularizer known for her viral psychology memes.
Various health professionals, including doctors Antonio Ríos Luna, Curro Huete, and Almudena Ruiz, discussed topics ranging from the benefits of exercise to connecting with gratitude. Also participating were Sofía Ureña (midwife), Ana Molina (nutritionist), Rubén Ortega (physical educator), and Alina Muñoz (linguist), who inspired the audience on how to lead a healthier and more sustainable life.
Humor was a key component of the event, with the participation of journalist Alfredo Casas and the improvisation theater company Impro ¿Qué?, who provided moments of laughter and entertainment. The founder and director of 'Fascinadas', Ana Galera, emphasized the importance of improving mental dialogue to regulate emotions and the nervous system.
'Fascinadas' aims to create safe spaces for disseminating psychology and neuroscience, with a preventive approach and through entertainment. This project, organized by the strategic communication consultancy Ágatar, was made possible thanks to the support of institutions and companies such as the Almería City Council, Fundación La Caixa, and Cosentino, among others.
