The European Researchers' Night, held on September 25th in Granada, brought together scientists from various disciplines to bring science closer to society in a fun and engaging way. This year, the Institute of Food and Nutrition Technology “José Matáix” (INYTA) had a prominent presence, participating for the first time jointly under a single stand.
The experience was highly positive, allowing INYTA not only to showcase the work developed at the institute to a diverse audience but also to strengthen ties between its research groups and foster collaboration in scientific outreach activities. The event served to share knowledge, spark curiosity, and demonstrate how research is part of our daily lives.
Throughout the day, various workshops and activities were organized where attendees could actively participate, discovering key aspects of INYTA's research lines. Among the highlighted activities were: MOVIDA (Monitoring lifestyle habits, diet, and exercise), Less waste, more health (CUIDA project), Do you really know what you eat?, Omega-3 fatty acids and cardiovascular health, Prevention of exposure to environmental pollutants, Antioxidize, New foods for sustainability (NOVELNUTRIFOOD and MARMADE projects), and Active and healthy aging (Senior corner).
Participation in this event reinforces INYTA's commitment to scientific dissemination and knowledge transfer, making the institution's research work visible and encouraging continued efforts to bring science closer to all audiences in future editions.
