Railway service between Albolote and Granada capital has been restored to normal. Train circulation had been suspended since Sunday afternoon due to a fire that broke out in a textile warehouse located in the Juncaril Industrial Estate, in the town of Peligros.
Adif sources reported the normalization of the service. Although the fire remains active, its progress has been favorable, allowing the track to reopen.
During the service interruption, Renfe had implemented an alternative road transport plan for Media and Larga Distancia trains heading to Granada. The facade of the warehouse affected by the fire partially collapsed, impacting the proximity to the train tracks.
