The Corpus Festival in Granada is approaching, and the Transport Consortium has announced a significant reinforcement of bus services to ensure mobility during the festivities. The plan is based on previous years' demand data to provide enhanced service between municipalities and the capital.

Data from 2025 indicated a high volume of transfers, with 136,385 people moving between interurban lines and over a million travelers using the interurban-Metro combination. Furthermore, nearly a million users (916,930) utilized metropolitan and urban bus lines, while 387,615 transfers occurred between the Metro and the urban bus, facilitated by the proximity of a Metro stop to the Almanjáyar fairgrounds.

Consequently, the metropolitan entity will deploy 40 new departures and over 2,000 additional seats for the upcoming Thursday, June 4, a public holiday in Granada and several municipalities in the metropolitan area.

Lines 100, 101, 102, 170, 175, 177, and 300, connecting towns such as Jun, Alfacar, Viznar, Ogíjares, Lomalinda, La Zubia, El Fargue, Huétor Santillán, and Beas de Granada, will operate on a Sunday schedule on that day. The remaining metropolitan lines will run on a Saturday schedule, with the exception of line 182 (Monachil to Barrio Monachil) and line 159 (Armilla to the Health Technology Park), which will maintain their usual Thursday service.

Additionally, the Night Owl (Búho) services on lines 110, 127, 160, 169, and 242 will be operational on May 30, June 3, 4, 5, and 6, connecting the capital with municipalities including Peligros, Casería de Fonseca, Monteluz, Atarfe, Albolote, Alhendín, Otura, Ogíjares, Santa Fe, Chauchina, Cijuela, and Láchar.
