The Monachil City Council has finalized preparations for the summer season opening of its 'Los Cerezos' municipal pool. The facility, which began operations last summer, will feature significant benefits for local residents this year, including substantial discounts, special rates for specific groups, and a fully digital pass application system.
The pool, located on Calle Pino, next to Sala Azahar in the Monachil neighborhood, will commence operations starting Thursday, June 25th. Operating hours will be from Tuesday to Sunday, between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
“"Our absolute priority is that the residents of Monachil enjoy public services with the greatest possible ease. Therefore, we are relaunching a public pricing policy that rewards residency, ensuring that families, young people, and our elders have very affordable access to a top-tier facility to spend the summer in their own municipality."
The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Iván Porcel, highlighted the streamlined process for obtaining special rates. A telematic system, accessible via a link and QR codes, has been established for residents to apply for their personalized 10-access pass for just 35 euros, thereby avoiding unnecessary waits.
For the 2026 summer season, general admission will cost five euros for a full day and three euros for a half-day (after 4:00 PM). Children aged 0 to 5 will have free entry. Registered residents under 16 or over 65 will benefit from a reduced rate of four euros for a full day and two euros for a half-day, upon presentation of their ID.
Additionally, 10-access passes are available. The general price is 45 euros, while the special personalized pass for residents costs 35 euros. Applications for these passes can now be submitted through an online form, with subsequent collection at the pool facilities.
