The first leg of the promotion playoff final concluded with a home win for Arenas de Armilla, who defeated CF Motril 1-0. The match, attended by approximately 2,000 spectators at the Municipal de Armilla, grants the red-and-white team a slim but valuable advantage for the return leg.
The home team, managed by Jorge Molina, started with great intensity and took the lead in the sixth minute with a goal from Pablo Aguilar, following a play initiated by Migue Bolivar and finished with the collaboration of Osorio. This goal sparked jubilation in the stands.
Despite having less possession than CF Motril, Arenas de Armilla continued to create danger on both flanks. The local defense, featuring the veteran Álex Gálvez and full-back Álvaro Sierra, managed to neutralize the visitors' attacks, particularly on the right wing where they attempted to connect with Cameron.
After the hydration break, the match resumed at a more measured pace, ending the first half with Arenas de Armilla holding a favorable scoreline.
The second half began with a delay due to an incident involving CF Motril's supporters, which required the intervention of the Local Police and the Civil Guard. On the field, Arenas sought to extend their lead, although CF Motril also posed a threat on the counter-attack.
CF Motril, needing an equalizer, pushed forward and introduced an additional attacker. However, local goalkeeper Jesús López proved secure and prevented the coastal-Granada team from equalizing on two occasions from set pieces. The final score remained 1-0, leaving the tie open.
