The incident occurred around 12:45 PM at kilometer 231 of the motorway, heading towards Málaga. Four vehicles were involved in the collision, according to reports from the 112 Andalucía emergency service.
Civil Guard officers, medical services, and an ICU unit were dispatched to the scene to assist those involved. Road maintenance crews also arrived to secure the area.
The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) confirmed that the affected section has experienced traffic delays since the crash. Notably, another collision involving two cars occurred just minutes earlier at kilometer 229 of the same motorway, also heading towards Málaga, with no injuries reported.
