The town of Pinos Puente in Granada was the scene of Operation Seflor, carried out last week by agents from the Guardia Civil's Investigation Area. The operation began due to suspicions of significant overloads on the local power supply network, caused by alleged electricity fraud.
In collaboration with technicians from the electricity company, officers conducted inspections and measurements that led to the identification of properties with fraudulent connections. During these checks, evidence emerged that three of the inspected properties were being used as marijuana production centers.
After obtaining the necessary judicial authorization, the Guardia Civil agents accessed the three homes. Inside, they found and seized a total of 1,365 cannabis plants, dismantling the three cultivation sites.
Furthermore, the operation led to the detection and deactivation of a total of 30 illegal connections to the electrical grid, preventing significant strain on the area's power supply.
The individuals allegedly responsible for electricity fraud and drug cultivation offenses will be brought before the judicial authorities in the coming days.
