The Cúllar Vega City Council has completed renovation and modernization works in the 'Pago del Lunes' industrial zone, located within the San Miguel II Industrial Park. These interventions have transformed the space, which suffered from circulation problems and deterioration, into a more accessible, safe, comfortable, and attractive industrial environment for businesses.
The project had a budget of approximately 116,000 euros, co-financed by the Cúllar Vega City Council and the Granada Provincial Council, as part of the 'Improvement of Productive Spaces' subsidy line.
Eduardo Pérez, Councilor for Public Works, highlighted the complete renewal of the pavement, the creation of a single platform to significantly improve accessibility, and the provision of a more comfortable, safe, and modern image for companies, clients, and visitors.
Furthermore, the traffic flow has been reorganized, parking areas optimized with new spaces adapted for people with reduced mobility, green spaces enhanced with new identifying elements, and evacuation issues resolved through proper rainwater collection.
Jorge Sánchez, the mayor of Cúllar Vega, positively assessed the completion of the works and their impact on the local economy, stating that the action was 'very necessary' due to the area's wear and tear and mobility issues. He emphasized the government team's commitment to modernizing municipal infrastructure and improving spaces where wealth and employment are generated.
With this comprehensive action, the municipal council consolidates its commitment to modernizing the productive areas of the municipality, providing installed companies with first-class infrastructure adapted to the current needs of the sector.
