The project aims to enhance public space after the council's acquisition of the property, expand downtown parking to improve access to the Town Hall and service areas, and support local businesses.
Temporary traffic and pedestrian measures will be in place to ensure safety during the construction period. Parking and stopping are prohibited in the area opposite the Town Hall, which will be clearly marked.
Pablo Picasso street will experience intermittent traffic closures, particularly during debris removal. A temporary direct exit onto Avenida Andalucía, against the usual traffic flow, will be established to facilitate truck maneuvers. Short closures are also expected on the section adjacent to the Ganesha shop, with traffic diverted through the Pío XII parking lot.
Residents of the building at Pablo Picasso street, number 17, will have normal access to their garages. Pedestrian passage will remain open outside the construction perimeter, though it may be temporarily interrupted if safety requires it.
As an alternative, the municipal parking at Camino del Cementerio, located 350 meters from the Town Hall, is available during the works. These measures will be in effect until the project's completion, scheduled for September 18, 2026.
