The Armilla City Council has unveiled the poster for the San Miguel Festivals 2026, designed by Lidia Caballero Linares, promising open, fun celebrations for all ages with a top-tier musical lineup.

The poster for Armilla's San Miguel Festivals 2026, designed by Lidia Caballero Linares, reflects a vision of popular, open celebrations for all ages. The festivals will take place between September 24th and 29th and will feature performances by artists such as Camela, Antonio Orozco, Walls, ZaharaRave, La Húngara, and Mägo de Oz.
The mayor of Armilla, Loli Cañavate, emphasized the importance of these festivals as a boost after difficult times, aiming to shift the dynamic from anxiety to a festive atmosphere. "We want to change the dynamic that has been generated of anxiety, fear, and concern, to a dynamic of festive atmosphere," she stated, adding, "these festivals will be the catalyst that citizens need to forget once and for all the fear generated by the earthquakes and to enjoy the end of September again as we do every year with our popular festivals."
Lidia Caballero Linares expressed her excitement about creating the poster, highlighting her connection to Armilla and her desire to capture the vibrancy of the festivals: "I tried to bring all of that into the design in a fun and very visual way."
The celebrations will kick off on September 24th with the traditional lighting ceremony and opening speech. On the same day, Camela will perform a free concert at the Municipal Stadium, launching the 'ZAE Armilla Music 2026' program. The Municipal Stadium will also host performances by Walls, Álvaro García, and ZaharaRave on September 25th, and Antonio Orozco on September 26th. At the Town Hall Square, free concerts will include La Húngara on September 26th and Mägo de Oz on September 27th.
Under the philosophy of 'Zone of High Emotions' (ZAE), Armilla aims to champion public space, culture, and coexistence as meeting points. Music is presented as a key element for building shared memories and revitalizing the city, reinforcing its role as a cultural hub in the metropolitan area.
The program is complemented by sports and leisure activities for all ages, the traditional daytime fair in the square, and, once again, the Municipal Caseta will feature top-level orchestras, which are an inseparable part of the festivities. The festivals will conclude on Tuesday, September 29th, with the traditional procession of San Miguel.
