Cúllar Vega's Plaza del Pilar will be filled with music and community spirit on Friday, October 9, with the celebration of a new edition of the ‘Verbena de Siempre’. The event, starting at 9:30 PM, aims to recapture the essence of traditional festivals and serve as a meeting point for residents and visitors.
The musical lineup features the band Estación Sur, who will kick off the evening with their repertoire, followed by José Luis Borja, who will close the event. Concurrently, a mini-fair for children will offer traditional games such as ring toss, duck fishing, and can knockdown, among other surprises.
Mayor Jorge Sánchez highlighted that the event, previously held successfully during the San Miguel festivities, seeks to "recover those traditional festivals that are part of our memories and, above all, create spaces for us to meet, coexist, and enjoy our town together." Sánchez encouraged all citizens and visitors to participate in this family-friendly night.
Councilwoman for Culture, María Ángeles Polo, emphasized that the program is designed for all audiences, combining live music with specific activities for children, ensuring it is an "authentic family festival." Polo added that the goal is to revive the close-knit, popular atmosphere of lifelong festivals.
The festival's bar will be managed by Cafetería 19-20, completing an outdoor leisure offering in the heart of Cúllar Vega.
