The Infoca Plan has declared controlled the wildfire that broke out around 3:00 PM this Saturday in the municipality of Palma del Río, in the province of Córdoba, following a rapid response from the deployed teams.
According to the Andalusian forest fire prevention and extinction service, the control efforts involved a team of forest firefighters, a support group, an operations technician, and a light helicopter. These resources helped to curb the fire's progression shortly after it was detected.
This marks the second intervention by the Infoca Plan in the province of Córdoba today, a day characterized by the activity of extinction services in various locations across the Cordoban territory.
While the fire in Palma del Río is now under control, operations continue at the significant wildfire declared near the Cerro Muriano shooting range, where numerous ground and air resources remain deployed to contain the advancing flames.
