The Marqués de Guadalcázar educational center, located in Guadalcázar, is preparing to welcome around 160 students for the new school year. The educational offering ranges from 3-year-old Early Childhood Education to 2nd year of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), including all stages of Primary Education. Ten new students are expected to join the 3-year-old Early Childhood class.
Student distribution is as follows: 44 students in Early Childhood, 25 in the first cycle of Primary, 28 in the second cycle, 33 in the third cycle, and 30 students in the ESO stage. Classes are scheduled to begin on September 10th.
The Guadalcázar City Council has carried out various maintenance, repair, and improvement works on the school's facilities to ensure the premises are in optimal condition. Notable among the renovations is the installation of five air conditioning units, three as support and two to replace old units, as existing systems were insufficient.
Municipal works also included repairs to the digital intercom and toilet cisterns, replenishment of materials in the sandpit, and replacement of the padded flooring in the Early Childhood area. Masonry work has been undertaken to repair cracks in walls and on the football pitch, along with the replacement of gutters and mosquito nets.
The center's refurbishment includes a comprehensive painting and deep cleaning of classrooms, the dining hall, and offices, as well as cleaning the sports hall. Pest control fumigation has also been carried out. Although some deep cleaning tasks took longer than expected, there is confidence that everything will be ready for the start of classes.
In parallel with facility improvements, the school maintains an extensive educational program under the project «Cogidos de la Mano» (Hand in Hand). This project encompasses plans such as the Equality Plan, School as a Space for Peace, the Family Outreach Plan (including morning care and dining services), the School Library project, Educational Digital Transformation (TDE), and STEAM 4.0.
The program also includes initiatives on emotional well-being, the Teaching Practice (Prácticum), healthy lifestyle habits through «Creciendo en Salud» (Growing in Health), the Fruit, Vegetable, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil Program, and the Occupational Risk Prevention Plan. The Marqués de Guadalcázar school faces the new academic year with renovated facilities and a comprehensive educational offering.
