Personnel from the Infoca Plan are working to extinguish a forest fire that has been registered in the municipality of Almodóvar del Río, specifically in the Villalobillos area, located in the northern part of the town.
The flames began around 1:20 PM, at which point the relevant firefighting teams were mobilized, as confirmed by fire department sources via their social media channels.
To combat the blaze, both air and ground resources have been deployed. The operation includes two semi-heavy helicopters and one heavy helicopter, two ground-based loading units, and one coordination unit. Additionally, five forest firefighter groups, four operations technicians, one environmental agent, two water-tank trucks, and two Brigades of Reinforcement against Forest Fires of Andalusia (Brica) are involved.
