The Belmez City Council is promoting a new blood donation campaign aimed at ensuring hospital supply, particularly during the summer period when reserves typically decrease.
The event, themed 'My Summer Saves Lives', will be held on Monday, July 13th, at the Belmez Health Center. Donation hours will be from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
The campaign calls on citizens to perform a simple, safe, and altruistic act that can be decisive in saving the lives of patients requiring transfusions for various medical reasons.
Organizers emphasize the importance of citizen collaboration, as blood needs remain constant in summer while donation numbers tend to drop, making it crucial to maintain sufficient reserves.
The council encourages all residents who meet the donation requirements to participate in this solidarity event and contribute to saving lives through an act of generosity.
