The initiative, which will extend over the next four years, aims to provide officers with new and approved material. The total budget for the tender amounts to 62,700 euros, including VAT.
The supply has been divided into two main lots. The first covers the acquisition of bulletproof vests, which will offer ballistic and anti-knife protection, along with complementary holsters and accessories. The second lot includes the provision of service weapons, magazines, anti-theft holsters, and other essential elements for the performance of their duties.
All supplied material must be new, have the relevant approvals, and be adapted to the specific needs of the officers. It is specified that the vests must facilitate mobility, while the weapons must meet rigorous technical and safety requirements.
Purchases will be managed through unit prices, adjusted to the actual needs of the service. The tender also establishes guarantees, after-sales service, spare parts, and response times for incidents, ensuring continuous operational readiness of the equipment.
This initiative coincides with the recent call for 13 new positions for the Local Police, and another eight officers are currently undergoing the pre-incorporation course, thus reinforcing the municipal staff.
