The artistic project, which seeks to highlight the town's historical roots, will include representations of a laundress, a goatherd, a baker, a butcher, a farmer, and a teacher with a student. These figures, standing between 1.65 and 2.30 meters tall, will be crafted from bronze using the lost-wax casting technique.
The sculptures will be distributed throughout squares, streets, and corners of the urban center. The initiative, awarded for €229,845.00 (VAT included), gives the artist a completion period of 11 months and three weeks from the contract's formalization.
The contract was signed by the mayor, Joaquín Villanova, and the renowned Andalusian sculptor Venancio Sánchez Gálvez, an expert in urban art whose works adorn various towns and countries.
