The show, featuring live music and a charitable component, will donate all its proceeds to the humanitarian foundation Madre Coraje. The play transports the audience to Germany in 1931, exploring themes of inclusion and equality in the years leading up to Nazism.
This production was made possible through the collaboration of the artistic excellence classroom and 4th-year ESO students, who formed a live jazz band under the guidance of professor Lola de la Hoz. The set design was created by the Escuela de Arte José Nogué.
“"Giving visibility to dramatic art and our young artists. A unique show that also has an important charitable aspect."
Culture Councilor María Espejo congratulated the institute for its work, while Education Councilor Eva Funes highlighted the increasing quality of student productions. The center's vice-director, Julián Medina, expressed pride in the teaching staff and announced that another play, ‘La Señal’, an adaptation of ‘La llamada’, will premiere on June 26th.
Medina also recalled the success of former students, many of whom are training at prestigious academies and pursuing their artistic dreams. Tickets for ‘Cabaret’ are now available on the Vivetix platform.
