The new heatwave primarily affects the Alto y Valle del Guadalquivir, encompassing the capital and extending from Montoro to Palma del Río. The orange alert will be active between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
In contrast, the Sierra and Los Pedroches regions will experience a yellow alert for maximum temperatures of 38 degrees, which could locally reach 40 degrees, also during the same critical hours.
On this day, the Alto y Valle del Guadalquivir is the only area in Andalusia under an orange alert for high temperatures.
The forecast for the capital and its surroundings indicates that on Wednesday, July 1, maximum temperatures will be 39 degrees with a yellow alert, and a minimum of 21. On Thursday, the thermometer will rise to 41 degrees maximum and 23 minimum, activating the orange alert.
For the rest of the week, highs of 40 degrees are expected on Friday and Saturday, with lows of 22. On Sunday, July 5, and Monday, July 6, the mercury is predicted to reach 42 degrees, maintaining the trend of high temperature alerts throughout the week.
