The award, granted by the Provincial Tourism Board, recognizes the regional entity's trajectory and its commitment to a tourism model focused on ecotourism, sustainability, and the promotion of the natural, cultural, and landscape resources of the Subbética.
During the ceremony, the president of the Diputación de Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, praised the cooperative work of the region's municipalities and emphasized the importance of continuing to promote inland tourism, transforming territorial resources into economic experiences.
This recognition follows years of developing projects to diversify the region's tourism offerings, including initiatives from the Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan focusing on geological and ethnographic heritage, olive groves, astrotourism, and rural experiences.

Additionally, Catalina Molina, Tourism Technician for the Mancomunidad, has been selected among Córdoba's “50 Heritage Visionaries” for 2026, an initiative by the Chair of Heritage and Cultural Tourism of Córdoba that distinguishes key profiles in the management and promotion of the province's heritage and cultural tourism.
