Authorities visited the construction site to check the progress of the works, which aim to repair damage caused by rains earlier in the year and ensure the safety of this key route for Jauja residents.
The mayor of Lucena, Aurelio Fernández, and the territorial delegate for Public Works, Carmen Granados, toured the intervention points, some of which are already finished. Current work focuses on the most affected section, requiring a complex technical solution to stabilize the ground and contain landslides through the installation of a geogrid.
Fernández recalled the initial emergency intervention to restore traffic and highlighted the road's importance for the people of Jauja. Granados explained that the duration is due to technical complexity and the need for specific materials.
This project is part of a batch of emergency actions in the southwest of the Córdoba province, with a total investment exceeding two million euros. The completion of the works is expected to restore normal traffic flow and improve safety and comfort for users.
The mayor thanked both administrations for their coordination, emphasizing that joint work improves residents' lives.
