Since its launch in 2015, the School's primary objective has been to contribute to improving women's quality of life and personal well-being. To achieve this, it provides a space dedicated to learning, reflection, and personal growth. Sessions are held every Tuesday, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, on the second floor of the El Coso Adult Education Center.
The training program covers various key areas for personal development, including self-knowledge, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and assertiveness. These tools are designed to enhance the well-being and autonomy of all participants.
In the initial sessions of this course, the focus has been on self-knowledge, utilizing personal writing and journaling as methods. Writing is presented as a valuable tool for dedicating time to oneself, organizing thoughts, and paying attention to relevant aspects of personal life.
Participation in the Empowerment School is completely free and open to all adult women, with no prior requirements. Registration remains open throughout the course, which will extend until June, allowing new interested individuals to join at any time.
Registrations can be completed in person at the Municipal Information Center for Women (CMIM), located at Calle Canalejas, 22 – 2nd floor.
Irene Aguilera, Councilor for Equality and Diversity, has encouraged the women of Lucena to participate in this initiative, highlighting the importance of this space for meeting and learning that the City Council has maintained for over a decade.
