The new website, maintaining the domain turismodepriego.com, has been redesigned to facilitate access to tourist information. Its main sections include ‘Planifica’ (Plan), with details on how to get there and where to stay; ‘Explora’ (Explore), focused on what to visit and do; and ‘Saborea’ (Savor), featuring information on dining establishments. Additionally, the platform integrates content on hiking, heritage, festivals, villages, and other municipal resources.
The website also includes an events calendar, a press section, links to tourism-related organizations, and an area for visitors to provide ratings and suggestions about the destination. A system for selling and booking tickets for monuments managed by the City Council and other tourist services is also planned.
Concurrently, the audio guides for several temples in Priego have been updated. The content has been reviewed with the participation of brotherhoods and is offered for free via QR codes. Currently available in Spanish, English, French, German, and Dutch, with plans to incorporate more languages soon.
Priego Tourism highlighted that the objective of these audio guides is to offer visitors basic information about the temples and their heritage, without replacing the work of tour guides. The content will also be accessible from the website.
The initiative is completed by the installation of two digital tourist information totems located at the Paseíllo and next to the Castle. These devices will provide information on accommodation, dining, activities, and other tourist resources. The totem at Paseíllo will also offer options for purchases and ticket acquisition.
These actions are part of the Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan, whose execution and justification are in their final phase.
