The commercial cardboard collection service in Priego de Córdoba, provided by EPREMASA, has introduced its summer schedule with the aim of preventing waste accumulation on public streets and improving cleanliness. The President of the Environment Area, Javier Ibáñez, and the president of ACCA, Eva Gómez, have detailed the four time slots established according to different zones.
Commercial establishments must deposit folded and properly stacked cardboard starting from 8:00 PM. The first collection will take place at 8:00 PM in Avenida de América, Cava, Trasmonjas, Plaza de Andalucía, and Ribera. At 9:00 PM, collection will occur in Cruz de la Aurora, San Luis, Carrera de las Monjas, Lozano Sidro, Magistral Romero Mengíbar, Palenque, and Obispo Pérez Muñoz.
The third time slot, at 10:00 PM, covers the areas of Caminillo, Cañada, Buena Vista, Málaga, and Río. Finally, at 11:00 PM, collection will be in San Marcos, Balbino Povedano, Avenida de España, Avenida de la Infancia, Avenida de la Juventud, and Rotonda Almendros.
Both the City Council and ACCA have emphasized the importance of folding boxes and stacking cardboard without obstructing passage. Establishments that close at midday are advised to keep the cardboard indoors or deposit it in the blue container. The service is available to all commercial and hospitality businesses in the municipality, whether or not they are associated with ACCA. The winter schedule will be announced shortly.
Furthermore, the installation of 80 brown containers for the selective collection of organic matter has been announced, intended for food waste. The grey container is designated for residual waste, including diapers, wipes, cigarette butts, pet litter, or sweeping dust.
