The Tercera Federación has wrapped up its schedule, leaving a taste of success for Córdoba's football. Ciudad de Lucena has been the main protagonist, establishing itself as the absolute dominator of Group X. The team finished the campaign with 73 points, surpassing its closest rival, Dos Hermanas, by 13 points.
The Lucena team, which had already secured its promotion to Segunda Federación in late April, concluded the season with a 2-1 victory against the Sevillian team. This result confirms the achievement of their objectives, while Dos Hermanas will have to seek promotion through the playoff alongside other teams.
Other Cordovan teams in the category also achieved their goals, albeit with more difficulty. Córdoba B, for example, faced a critical moment just over a month ago, reaching relegation spots to División de Honor. However, the arrival of a new coach spurred a remarkable recovery.
Since the change in management, the Cordovan reserve team has strung together four victories and a draw, ensuring their permanence. The last match was a derby against Pozoblanco, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Although Pozoblanco took the lead, Córdoba B reacted to earn a point. The reserve team finishes the season in ninth place with 44 points, while Pozoblanco finishes in eleventh with 43.
Next season, Group X will feature at least three Cordovan teams, due to the relegation of Salerm Puente Genil from Segunda Federación. The number could increase to four, depending on the results of the promotion playoff from División de Honor.
