The incident began when neighbors reported hearing screams from a residence in Luque. A Civil Guard patrol, accompanied by Local Police, arrived at the scene and insisted on entering the home after the resident initially refused access.
Inside, officers discovered an elderly man on the floor, calling for help. The victim stated that the person who opened the door had assaulted him three days prior, knocking him down and leaving him without assistance, preventing him from getting up.
After being stabilized by medical services and transported to a nearby hospital, the alleged assailant was arrested on charges of assault. The case file has been submitted to the competent judicial authority.
