The Cabra City Council has completed the hiring process for three new interim administrative civil servants. These professionals will join the Procurement (two) and Intervention (one) departments to support the execution and justification of the Integrated Action Plan (PAI) ‘Cabra Crece Contigo’, a program funded by European funds.
These incorporations are part of a three-year temporary program, designed to handle the extraordinary increase in administrative workload posed by the PAI's development. The objective is to ensure proper management of procedures linked to the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) financing for the 2021-2027 period.
The three administrative staff members were selected from the current municipal Employment Pool for interim civil servants in General Administration - Group/Subgroup C1, established in November 2022, thus ensuring the principles of equality, merit, and capacity in public employment access.
This measure continues the technical and administrative reinforcement that the City Council is undertaking for the PAI ‘Cabra Crece Contigo’. It is worth noting that last May, the procedure began to also incorporate an architect and a technical architect as interim civil servants, who will join in the coming weeks after the competitive examination process.
The PAI ‘Cabra Crece Contigo’ has a total budget of 10,543,151 euros and received a high score in the definitive resolution of the Integrated Action Plans call, becoming one of the best-rated projects in Andalusia and the highest-scoring in the province of Córdoba. Funding comes from 85% European ERDF funds and the remaining 15% from municipal resources.
Among the first planned actions are the renovation of the access area to Cabra via the Junquillo bridge, the construction of a new water supply reservoir in the La Atalaya area, and the creation of a new 7-a-side football field and a ‘trialsin’ circuit next to the Vía Verde.
With these five new hires, the Cabra City Council strengthens its technical and administrative capacity to manage one of the most important investment programs in the coming years, ensuring both the correct execution of actions and compliance with the contracting, economic control, and justification requirements of European funding.
