The fire originated near the new parking lots located between Bahía de Almería and Jesús de Perceval. The flames spread to several nearby bushes before firefighters managed to control the situation in just a few minutes.
According to the 112 Andalusia Emergency Service, the vehicle was carrying only several cardboard boxes. During the incident, three loud explosions were heard, attributed to the truck's tires bursting due to the high temperatures.
Poniente Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after 1:20 PM and, in a swift operation, completely extinguished the fire by 1:30 PM, preventing its spread.
The Las Colinas Aguadulce Neighborhood Association publicly thanked the firefighters for their speed and effectiveness, highlighting their efforts in preventing greater damage in an area with abundant dry vegetation.
