Yesterday afternoon, the Casa de la Juventud in Casariche hosted the presentation of Fidel y la conquista del tiempo, by Cuban historian and writer Hassan Pérez Casabona. The event was attended by residents from the town and neighboring municipalities.
During the event, which was attended by the Mayor, Ramón Parrado, various contents of the book were discussed and reflected upon with the author. The meeting became a space to learn about, exchange opinions on, and reflect on the figure of Fidel Castro, the recent history of Cuba, and the island's current situation, addressing its political, social, and economic evolution.
Fidel Romero and Ana Aranda also joined the presentation, accompanying the author in this encounter focused on the history, thought, and current reality of Cuba.
The Casariche City Council has thanked all attendees, both from the town and the region, for their participation, which contributed with their interventions to create a space for dialogue on Cuban history, culture, and reality.
