The educational initiative "Radio ATF VII" allowed the working students of the Training and Employment Program “Alcalá T-Forma VII”, specialized in socio-sanitary care for dependent persons, to transform their classroom into a radio studio for a day. The "Palabras Mayores" space was designed to reinforce their professional competencies through a practical and innovative methodology.
The central focus of this activity was an interview with María Moraleda, recently retired director of the Reifs Regina Elderly Residence. Moraleda shared her extensive professional and personal experience managing a socio-sanitary center, bringing students closer to the daily reality of the sector, addressing care for the elderly, resource management, and the challenges faced by these services.
For a fully immersive experience, the interview was integrated into a complete radio program, designed entirely by the 15 working students. Organized into different teams, they assumed various responsibilities: an in-depth interview with their own drafted questions, a debate, socio-sanitary news, sector-specific advertising spots, awareness messages, listener interventions, and musical segments.
This activity highlights the value of active methodologies in employment training, promoting project-based learning and the simulation of real situations. These tools foster the acquisition of key transversal competencies in the socio-sanitary field, such as teamwork, assertive communication, organizational skills, and empathy.
The Alcalá T-Forma VII Employment and Training Program continues to develop innovative proposals that complement the students' technical training, enhancing their preparation for the job market with practical learning adapted to the real needs of the care sector.
