This classroom aims to bring the real work environment closer to students, enhancing their employability and reducing the digital divide. The allocated budget for each Ateca classroom is 55,000 euros, and the province of Jaén now has 28 such facilities following the implementation of 11 new ones in the 2025-2026 academic year.
For the IES Salvador Serrano, the specific investment in equipment and technology amounts to 145,000 euros. This resource will directly benefit over a hundred students enrolled in vocational courses such as Administrative Services, Administrative Management, Electrical and Automatic Installations, Administration and Finance, and Automation and Industrial Robotics.
The visit by the territorial delegate for Educational Development, Francisco José Solano, also included a tour of the institute's Salustiano Torres campus. Here, the Ministry has invested over 174,000 euros in repairs to the perimeter wall and fencing, which had structural deficiencies. Additionally, an emergency intervention was carried out at the Príncipe Felipe campus, valued at over 8,200 euros, to repair damage caused by the February storms.
In total, the Ministry of Educational Development has allocated more than 180,000 euros for infrastructure at the IES Salvador Serrano since the beginning of the year. Combined with the technological investment, the total resources dedicated to the center exceed 320,000 euros this academic year.
