The Area of Works, Services, and Infrastructure of the Guillena City Council has completed and opened the new covered volleyball court at the ‘Rafael Sánchez’ sports complex in Las Pajanosas. This action is part of the Plan Más Sevilla, promoted by the Provincial Council of Seville, and has involved an investment of approximately 270,000 euros.
The court's inauguration took place yesterday, Monday, October 5th, coinciding with the start of the 2026-27 season for the Municipal Sports Schools in Guillena, Torre de la Reina, and Las Pajanosas.
“"This is an action that considerably improves sports practice in Las Pajanosas, completing the strategy set a few years ago in the municipality, which has led us to have an indoor facility of these characteristics in all three population centers."
The mayor of Guillena, Lorenzo Medina, highlighted the importance of this new infrastructure for improving sports practice in Las Pajanosas, noting that it completes the municipal strategy to equip all three population centers with covered sports facilities.
