The inaugural day featured the traditional procession of the Patron Saint, which paraded through the town's streets on two occasions, morning and night. The Banda de Música Villa de Guillena provided musical accompaniment for both routes. In the morning, the Main Service was held, followed by the flag-raising ceremony at the City Hall entrance. In the evening, the lighting of the Avenida de los Príncipes took place, with a special arch installed for the occasion, an event in which young Manuel García participated.
The fairground, comprising 41 stalls, hosts a program of activities designed by the Department of Major Festivals for all ages. Highlights include musical performances by artists such as LA HUNGARA, TOREROS CON CHANCLAS, CANELITA, ALBA DREIS, DJ KARPIN, and ASERE, among others, at the Municipal stall.
Catering to younger attendees, a free Children's Play Area (Ludoteca) is available from Tuesday to Sunday, operating from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a maximum stay of 3 hours per child. Additionally, Wednesday, September 9th, is Children's Day, offering reduced prices on rides ('los cacharritos') at 2.50 euros.
The fair promotes inclusion with a 'Noise-Free' hour from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM daily, providing noise-canceling headphones for individuals sensitive to noise pollution. Furthermore, a safe space named “Guillena free from sexist and homophobic aggression” has been established, staffed by specialized personnel, operating from Thursday to Saturday.
To facilitate access to the fairground, a free tourist train with a circular route and stops at various points in the town is available from September 8th to 13th. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, free buses will also run from Torre de la Reina and Las Pajanosas.
The complete program of activities, which includes special days for different groups and the traditional fireworks finale, can be consulted in the fair magazine available on the municipal website.
