The Linares City Council had a prominent presence at the Global Mobility Call 2026, held in Madrid, a key event in Spain for sustainable urban mobility solutions. Mayoress Auxi del Olmo, accompanied by councilors Raúl Caro-Accino and José Luis Roldán, visited the exhibition to learn about the latest technological innovations available to city councils in urban mobility.
During the forum, the Linares council shared its experience in a roundtable on sustainability and energy efficiency, presenting Linares' success story as a pioneer in Andalusia in fully electrifying its urban transport. Additionally, the council participated in another debate organized by the Cluster Smart Cities, analyzing the role of medium-sized Spanish cities in aspects such as mobility, economic development, and talent attraction.
Within the framework of the Global Mobility Call, the Mayoress held strategic meetings for the city's development. She met with the Secretary of State for Industry to discuss the evolution of the Santana Transport Science and Technology Park. Meetings were also held with local companies such as Coronet, Santana Motors (recently awarded), Grupo Ruiz (manager of urban buses), and Bus Stop, who presented their mobility and sustainability solutions.
