The 'azulillo' club finished the season in eighth position in Group IV of Segunda Federación, achieving a solid permanence despite an irregular campaign. The dismissal of Pedro Díaz and the subsequent arrival of Miguel de la Fuente were key to the team's recovery and its continued presence in the category.
“"It has been an intense, demanding, and difficult campaign. The objective we set was permanence, and we achieved it without excessive difficulties."
The club's sporting director highlighted the merit of the eighth-place finish, considering the difficulty of the category and the group. He emphasized the team's strong performance away from home, where they managed to secure many points in challenging venues. However, he acknowledged that the weak point was the Linarejos stadium, where important matches were lost.
The season's analysis divided the team's performance into two phases: an initial one under Pedro Díaz, where they accumulated 23 points in 18 matches, and a second with Miguel de la Fuente, who secured 24 points in 16 games. The latter coach brought order and competitiveness to the team.
Looking ahead to the next season, the club has eight players under contract: Hugo Díaz, Diego Barrios, Eu Gutiérrez, Menudo, Joao Paulo, Hugo Aranda, Chikola, and Alberto Fuentes. The sports management is actively scouting for new talent, although the institutional situation creates a period of uncertainty. The sporting director's contract ends on June 30, and while contact is maintained with coach Miguel de la Fuente, his continuity is not guaranteed.
