The blue team could not overcome the side from Group V of Segunda Federación, who secured a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Malano in the 36th minute. CS Puertollano proved superior for much of the match.
Linares Deportivo's starting lineup featured Álex Fernández in goal; Argüelles, Carlos Becken, Hugo Aranda, and Iker Pérez in defense; Guize, Iván Romero, and Menudo in midfield; and Fran Fraile, Javi Sola, and Giovanni in attack. CS Puertollano fielded Dani Simón, Pascu, Sahuquillo, Antonio López, Crespo, Silvio, Braun, Isma, Arroyo, Verdú, and Malano.
The home team dominated the first half, creating the clearest chances. A header from Antonio López was cleared off the line by the blue defense, and Álex Fernández had to make a save from a free-kick by Pascu. After an extended hydration break, Malano opened the scoring in the 36th minute following a passing sequence.
In the second half, Linares Deportivo made several substitutions, including Diego Barrios, Monty, Moi Becken, David Velázquez, Tommy Montenegro, Llabrés, and Iker Navarro. The team attempted to equalize but lacked attacking ideas. CS Puertollano had a chance to seal the victory with a powerful shot from Verdú that hit the crossbar in the 68th minute.
With this loss, the blue squad marks its second summer defeat, following last Saturday's win in Dos Hermanas and a previous loss against Real Jaén.
