On April 23rd, Linares embraced literature to celebrate Book Day with a meaningful event. The day, held at the Active Participation Center (CPA), brought together center users and institutional representatives to highlight the value of reading and writing.
Under the title “Spring of Verses”, participants from the CPA's Creative Writing workshop paid an emotional tribute to the figure and work of the poet Miguel Hernández. This act not only served to remember the famous author but also to showcase the vitality and literary talent of the city's elderly population.
The initiative was attended by the territorial delegate for Social Inclusion and the councilor for Social Welfare and Equality, who emphasized the importance of literature as an intergenerational tool and a fundamental pillar for active aging. Readings of poems and original texts transformed the CPA into a meeting point for local literary sensibility, reinforcing the commitment of public administrations to the social participation of older adults.
