The Linares team capped off a dream season by leading Group III of the Honor Division and sealing their return to the elite in the promotion playoff held at the Huarte de San Juan pavilion in Linares. Six teams competed for the two available spots for the next season.
On Saturday, Tecnigen Linares defeated Oroso TM (4-1) and Girbau Vic (4-0), securing their place in the final against Fuencarral TM.
The decisive match was hard-fought. After Carlos Caballero's victory against Marlon López (3-1) and Israel Rodríguez's defeat against Carlos Vedriel (0-3), the tie was leveled. Piotr Chodorski emerged victorious in an exciting five-set duel against Darío Salcedo (3-2), returning the lead to the home team.
The tension mounted when Carlos Caballero lost to Vedriel (2-3), making it 2-2. Subsequently, Piotr Chodorski was again decisive, defeating Marlon López (3-1), putting the score at 3-2. Darío Salcedo equalized for Fuencarral TM (3-3) after beating Israel Rodríguez (3-0), forcing the final doubles match.
In the final and decisive doubles match, the local pair formed by Carlos Caballero and Piotr Chodorski claimed victory against Vedriel Soriano and Salcedo Polo with a 4-3 score, sealing Tecnigen Linares' promotion.
Meanwhile, the first reserve team of Tecnigen Linares narrowly missed promotion to the Honor Division, losing the final in the doubles match. However, they might still be promoted if other clubs withdraw.
