The Andrés Segovia Professional Music Conservatory in Linares has concluded its enrollment period with a historic record of nearly 250 new students, surpassing all expectations and reinforcing its role as an educational and cultural pillar in the region.

This remarkable increase in demand for music studies is attributed to a strategy focused on excellence and community engagement. The center's management highlights two fundamental pillars that have driven this unprecedented growth in its recent history.
One of the key factors has been the success of the MusicColes project, an initiative that has brought music directly to primary schools. Through its seven editions, MusicColes has reached over 8,000 schoolchildren, allowing them to discover instruments in a playful and accessible way, which has sparked early vocations now translating into admission applications to the conservatory. The project has been constantly reinvented thanks to the tireless work of the faculty and has connected with local cultural events, such as the Ibero-Roman Festivals of Cástulo.

"It's not just about teaching musical technique, but about revitalizing the cultural fabric of our city. Seeing this response from Linares families is the greatest recognition of the daily effort and professionalism of our faculty."

Beyond classroom education, the conservatory has maintained an active presence in Linares society. The organization of cultural activities, concerts in public spaces, and collaboration with local entities have fostered a sense of ownership among citizens. The alliance with the Linares City Council, through fluid coordination with the Culture, Education, and Youth departments, has been crucial in integrating the center's activities into the city's strategic agenda. Municipal support in providing spaces, promoting joint events, and institutional backing for recruitment initiatives have allowed the educational project to extend beyond the center's walls and reach every corner of Linares.
Over the last decade, the Linares Conservatory has led and collaborated on numerous projects connecting with the city and its region, including initiatives such as Linares Canta con Raphael, the Band Musicians' Meeting, charity concerts, Music in the Market, Book Day, the Andrés Segovia House Museum, the Marisa Montiel National Piano Competition, the Úbeda Festival, the Linares Jazz and Blues Festival, the Jaén Piano Award, Music in the Cemetery, and the Virtuosos of Music Competition.
This increase in demand not only ensures the generational replacement of musicians in the locality but also positions Linares as a hub of emerging talent, consolidating the city's rich musical tradition that has produced international figures in various fields throughout its history. The conservatory is already planning for the next academic year to ensure that this high demand translates into the highest quality training for future musicians.
