The Autonomous Community of Andalusia begins this Tuesday, June 2nd, the most numerous University Entrance Exam (PAU) in its history, with 53,495 students and the application of selective controls to detect unauthorized electronic devices and prevent the use of artificial intelligence for cheating.

The PAU will take place until June 4th in 138 venues across Andalusia, Ceuta, and Melilla, as well as seven Moroccan cities. Registrations have increased by 5.10% compared to the previous year, surpassing the historical record of 2024.
As a novelty, selective controls have been implemented to detect electronic and data transmission devices, aiming to preserve equal opportunities. Those caught cheating will be expelled from the exam, receive a zero score, and will not be allowed to take any further tests in the current session, in addition to forfeiting their registration fees.
The regulations explicitly prohibit the possession of hearing aids, mobile phones, or other programmable electronic devices capable of storing or transmitting data, as well as watches with similar functionalities. These items must be kept out of reach of the examinees.
Student identification will be exclusively through physical documents (DNI, NIE, and passport), temporarily excluding the electronic DNI to ensure the security and reliability of the process.
This year, the competency-based model introduced last year is maintained, with an increase in such questions and common correction criteria for all autonomous communities. Orthographic, grammatical, and lexical correctness will also be evaluated in all exercises.
The duration of each exam will be 90 minutes, with minimum breaks of 30 minutes between tests. Students must report to their reference centers by 8:00 AM.
Results will be available on June 11th, the same day that the registration period for undergraduate studies will open, extending until June 22nd. Place allocations will occur on July 3rd and 16th.
Pre-registration will be conducted online through the Distrito Único Andaluz platform (lajunta.es/portaldua). It is reminded that there will be examination boards at the campuses of Linares, Jaén, and Úbeda.
