The official presentation of this fragrance took place at the Biblioteca Viva de Al-Ándalus, coinciding with the unveiling of the poster, the informational bulletin, and the events scheduled for the pilgrimage on May 3. This event was presided over by the senior sister of the corporation, Isabel Carrión.
Alma de la Sierra was created with the purpose of translating, through the language of aromas, the profound essence of one of Córdoba's most deeply rooted and emotional celebrations. More than just a fragrance, it is conceived as an olfactory narrative that symbolically accompanies the entire pilgrimage route, from the departure of the procession to the arrival at the sanctuary.
“"This perfume is a gift we give from Esencia de los Patios to the Brotherhood. We have created a special edition whose profits will go entirely to cover the needs arising from the devotion to our Virgen de Linares."
The perfumer has structured Alma de la Sierra into three key components that evoke the different phases of the day. The departure of the pilgrim procession is represented by a citrus explosion of fresh mandarin, symbolizing the golden light of the Cordoban morning and the vibrant joy of the floats beginning their journey. The path to the sanctuary is evoked by the delicacy of orange blossom, an emblematic aroma of Córdoba that brings floral freshness and purity, alluding to the spirituality of the Virgen de Linares and the spring splendor. Finally, the solemnity of prayer is captured with a base of palo santo, with woody and deep notes that recall incense, contemplation, and the peace felt in the mountains during the solemn procession.
“"It is a source of pride and an enormous responsibility to create a perfume for such an important moment for Córdoba. We wanted each note to tell a part of the pilgrimage, so that whoever perceives it can feel the journey, the devotion, and the arrival at the sanctuary. It is, without a doubt, one of the most special works of my career."
The president of the Hermandad de la Purísima Concepción de Linares Coronada, Isabel Carrión, expressed her gratitude for this initiative, highlighting the perfumer's ability to condense the essence of the pilgrimage into a fragrance. This proposal reinforces the business group's commitment to uniting tradition, culture, and sensory experience, consolidating Esencia de los Patios as a brand that transcends perfumery to become a vehicle for expressing the soul of Córdoba.
