Bailén is moving towards a more connected, efficient city model prepared for the challenges of digital transformation thanks to the ORDEN CITI BAILÉN project. This initiative has enabled the deployment of new technological infrastructures that improve connectivity, expand supervision capabilities, and provide tools to optimize municipal service management.
One of the main focuses has been the creation of a multi-service municipal network, connecting the City Hall with eleven secondary locations. Over 5.5 kilometers of fiber optic have been deployed, establishing a proprietary infrastructure to enhance communications and lay the groundwork for future digital services.
The project also strengthens the municipality's technological capabilities for security and traffic management through the installation of 37 cameras of various types distributed throughout the city and its municipal sites. These new devices expand video surveillance and traffic supervision, providing useful information for more effective municipal management.
Furthermore, five LoRaWAN gateways have been incorporated to provide wireless coverage for sensors, progressively facilitating the adoption of IoT services in Bailén. Solutions for public lighting control, municipal building energy consumption measurement, and noise level monitoring are already integrated, creating a scalable infrastructure.
The transformation involves not only deploying technology but also leveraging the information it generates. Various solutions converge in Inforcity, a digital environment that integrates information and services along with a significant portion of the municipal ICT asset inventory. Data from cameras, lighting, energy, noise, and IoT devices are analyzed to aid management, planning, and decision-making.
With ORDEN CITI, Bailén now has a connected and scalable technological infrastructure ready for growth, laying new foundations for the digitalization of its municipal services.
