This proposal, considered a benchmark in the field of archaeology and historical heritage, returns once again to Sierra Mágina. The activities will be carried out in two highly valuable scientific and natural enclaves: the Paleomágina Center and the Cueva del Nacimiento del Río Cuadros.
The course, with a recognized academic load of 5 ECTS credits, is aimed at both university students and anyone interested in archaeology and historical heritage. Its program combines theoretical classes, specialized workshops, and real archaeological excavation practices, all led by expert faculty in the field.
“"This eighth edition consolidates the municipality as a reference in training related to Quaternary archaeology in Andalusia, also reinforcing the territory's commitment to scientific dissemination, research, and the enhancement of the extraordinary natural and archaeological heritage of Sierra Mágina."
The initiative is jointly organized by the Paleomágina Center, the International University of Andalusia (UNIA), the Bedmar City Council, and Caja Rural de Jaén. It also has the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Jaén, the Junta de Andalucía, the University of Jaén, and the Sierra Mágina Natural Park. This institutional and academic involvement annually attracts students and researchers from all over Spain.
