The program, named 'Employment and Training' (PEF), will focus on healthcare and cleaning specialties. The Regional Ministry of Employment, Business, and Self-Employment has allocated the global subsidy for these initiatives, which are directly managed by the Orcera City Council.
The acting Government delegate, Ana Mata, along with the mayor of Orcera, Juan Francisco Fernández, inaugurated the first of the projects. The second is scheduled to begin in August. For one year, the thirty students will receive theoretical and practical training, combined with alternating professional internships, which, according to Mata, "increases the chances of accessing a job."
Upon completion of the 12-month training period, participants will obtain four professional certificates of level 1 and 2, official titles valid nationally and in Europe. The training specialties include 'Cleaning of surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises', 'Socio-sanitary care for dependent persons in social institutions', 'Cleaning and sanitization', 'Issuance and management of outgoing calls in a teleassistance service', and 'Handling of tools, techniques, and skills for providing a teleassistance service'.
This initiative is part of the total investment of 10.8 million euros that the Ministry of Employment is making in the province of Jaén through the Employment and Training program. This provincial budget will enable the training and hiring of 465 unemployed individuals through 31 PEF projects executed by 21 entities, predominantly city councils.
