This establishment, a cornerstone of Huelva's gastronomy, will cease operations after the May Bank Holiday for a comprehensive renovation. The announcement, made by Eva García Prior on social media, clarifies that the closure is not permanent but a necessary pause to modernize its facilities.
Founded almost three decades ago by Manuel García and Clara Prior, Montecruz's culinary project has focused on garden-fresh ingredients, nature-inspired dishes, Iberian pork cuts, and game. Currently, their children, Manuel and Eva, continue the family legacy, maintaining the passion for quality that has defined the restaurant.
The reopening in July promises a refreshed image while retaining the culinary essence that has earned it numerous awards and Michelin Guide recognition. Although it has not yet been confirmed whether the popular hunting or mycological events will continue, this new phase is expected to bring exciting proposals to continue delighting its diners.
