The free festival, held next to the unique Iglesia inacabada (Unfinished Church), a notable heritage site in the Sierra de Huelva, aims to replicate the high attendance of previous years, which has drawn over a thousand people.
The organization fulfills a three-year aspiration by including the Andalusian group, known for its agropop style and popularity in rural Andalusia. Festival director Manuel Castilla likens them to 'the Rolling Stones of the Sierra'.
Before the main act, attendees will enjoy the blues, funk, and soul repertoire of Sevillian singer Anita Franklin. Following her, One Love, a nine-musician group from Huelva, will take the stage to pay tribute to Bob Marley, celebrating their tenth anniversary.
The Festival del Monumento, which originated in 2009 and adopted its current name in 2019, has progressively expanded its musical offerings. Since 2023, it has benefited from increased resources through collaboration with the Provincial Council of Huelva.
Rocío Moreno, Vice President of the Provincial Council, highlighted the festival's ability to merge music with the promotion of Castaño del Robledo's heritage, particularly its stage, the Iglesia inacabada, which represents the transition from Baroque to Neoclassical architecture.
